En*Vantage was founded in Houston, TX, in 1999 by Terry Ciliske and Peter Fasullo to provide consulting to the energy and petroleum industries. In addition to our consulting and advisory services, En*Vantage publishes a weekly report covering the energy market fundamentals. This comprehensive report is released each Thursday to coincide with the weekly energy statistics published by the EIA, and it is a useful resource for companies looking to keep abreast of current market data and news as well as short-term forecasts for each of the markets mentioned above.
Our team of industry experts analyzes the trends and opportunities in the oil gas sector and offers comprehensive market analysis consulting business intelligence to support the growth of oil and gas companies. We have many years of experience in senior management from Fortune 500 companies. That experience allows us to recognize, develop, and manage attractive energy projects.
Terry Ciliske is the principal and managing editor of our weekly report as well as our resident expert in the natural gas and crude oil market. Terry started En*Vantage to develop a model to forecast natural gas storage in 1999. The market drivers for the natural gas storage model are supply and demand. Over time we have developed an excellent understanding of the natural gas pipeline grid, flows, and the market influences driving daily and forward natural gas prices. The En*Vantage natural gas storage model is consistently above the consensus estimates for gas storage.
Terry has provided insight into the discipline focused approach of managing commodity risk for natural gas, NGLs, and crude oil by modeling and evaluating the markets and risk return required for a successful hedging program. Being a fee based consulting company eliminates any conflicts of interest related to many of the drivers related to hedging by investment banks and trading companies. He has experience in modeling pricing products including financial derivatives and designing and implementing management solutions.
Prior to forming En*Vantage, Terry was the President and Chief Executive Officer of PG&E Gas Transmission Texas from 1997 – 1999. Previously Terry was with Valero Energy Corporation for 14 years, with his last position as Executive Vice President of the Natural Gas Company prior to the sale to PG&E. Prior to joining Valero, he was with Rice University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston. He was a registered chemical engineer in the state of Texas for over 25 years. Terry has served as a Director of the Southern Gas Association and the Texas Intrastate Pipeline Association and as Chairman and Charter Board Member of the Gas Industry Standards Board (now known as the North American Energy Standards Board). He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Management of the Lake Houston YMCA (Terry recently completed 10 years on the Lake Houston YMCA Board of Management).
